A peregrine falcon chick was spotted flying around at Harpers Ferry National Park for the first time in almost 70 years. Peregrine falcons, also known as the fastest bird in the world, experienced a large population decline over the past few decades. Although there have been breeding efforts to revive the population, they remain a rare species. After spotting the chick, the park officials express their excitement.
