Fourteen-year-old Caleb Pruitt of Jacksonville, Fla., is a young man with Down Syndrome who is now a mini-triathlon competitor. He was never into exercise until he met 21-year-old Chris Nikic. Nikic competed in the grueling 140-mile swimming, biking and running race known as the Ironman Triathlon and was the first person with Down Syndrome to ever cross the finish line. He took his young fan Caleb under his wing, mentored him, worked out with him and planted a dream. He was warm and inspiring and showed Caleb that he could do something as challenging as a triathlon too. Caleb recently completed his first mini-triathlon and has received an invitation to join the Florida Special Olympics Triathlon team, the team Chris is on. According to Steve Hartman of CBS News, "Heroes come in many different shapes, sizes and abilities, but they all have the same superpower -- to lift the hopes of others."
