Solidarity Flowers raised over $26,000 dollars this Mother's Day weekend to support Hmong and Mien farmers, as well as people excluded from COVID-19 relief funds. The volunteer-run "bouquet drive" was organized in 2 weeks by four amazing ladies who saw a need to support immigrants who couldn't tick the boxes for government support. When the coronavirus pandemic hit the county, flower sales were deemed nonessential and the farmers' stalls were closed. For Mother's Day weekend, people across the greater Seattle area collectively placed online orders for more than 800 bouquets for pick-up at a range of local sites.
