The Higher Committee of Human Fraternity, an international religious community based in the United Arab Emirates, invites people of all faiths from across the world to make this Thursday, May 14, a day for fasting and prayers for the good of all humanity. They invite: "Each one, from wherever they are and according to the teachings of their religion, faith, or sect, should appeal to God to lift this pandemic off us and the entire world, to rescue us all from this adversity." Religious and global leaders including Pope Francis, the Grand Imam of Al Azhar Sheikh Ahmed Al Tayeb and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres support the call.
