On her days off, Las Vegas emergency room nurse Brooke Johns returns to Southern Hills Hospital. There, she works to pamper patients who are going through tough times -- from post-op recovery to respiratory problems. As she brushes or braids their hair, she offers a listening ear. She says she wants to set an example for her kids by serving others and helping alleviate pain.
