A huge painting created by a Mexican artist has been rescued from a bog behind an aid tent at the Ukraine-Poland border. Roberto Marquez compared the bombing of Mariupol and its people to Guernica, the Spanish city bombed by Nazi Germany and fascist Italy during the Spanish Civil War. Many see Picasso's 'Guernica' as the world's most moving anti-war painting. Marquez also made paintings in Irpin and Warsaw's Central Station. The National Museum in nearby Przemyl plans to restore the Mariupol painting and hang it at the Przemyl train station, which has become a symbol due to the war in Ukraine.
