Followers from the Riverside Sikh Temple in Jurupa Valley are providing thousands of meals, money and even face shields to seniors and health-care workers at local hospitals. "We believe that no one should go hungry," says Gurpreet Singh, a coordinator with the United Sikh Mission. The Sikhs have been partnering up with other community leaders to increase the reach of their meal deliveries. Manpreet Kaur Singh, a volunteer with Khalsa Food Pantry in Pacoima, which provides not only food and groceries but also feminine hygiene products, says, "The spirit of community service is an integral part of the Sikh faith."
