NYPD officers lined the streets just after 6 a.m. to applaud hundreds of doctors, nurses and medical professionals who traveled from out of state to treat the city's coronavirus patients. They were leaving their hotel for their final shifts before going home. "So many people across the country have reached out to us and helped us," said Police Commissioner Dermot Shea, "so it was a nice way to send them back home."
