Six-year-old Kendall Rae Johnson is the youngest certified farmer in the state of Georgia. The youngster is working with her parents to grow healthy foods and create a space for kids to learn about gardening. “My goal is to meet new friends, make new things, and inspire other kids,” Kendall Rae said. Kendall’s farm is both her hobby and a thriving business and she invites other kids to join her in her backyard to learn about farming. Her efforts are garnering attention: the city of South Fulton, GA, honored her for being Georgia’s youngest certified farmer and during an appearance on Good Morning America, Kendall was awarded $10,000 to support the Outdoor Ag Science Lab that she and her family are starting.
