Professor Vinod Menon, a physics professor at City College of New York, received a mystery not from looking up at the stars but right in his own office: a square box with $180,000 in hard bills from an anonymous donor. It was accompanied by a letter saying the person landed a "long, productive, immensely rewarding... career." The package came from a person named Kyle Paisley, but there was no such graduate by such a name from the college. The funds were entrusted to Menon to be given to students in need.
