Andrew Howick, who has spent much of his life buying property from Molson Island to protect it from technological disruption, recently donated the 26 hectares of land to the Nature Conservatory of Canada, or NCC. His generosity is greatly appreciated: "I am pleased that Mr. Howick, a private landowner, sees the urgency of taking action to protect his island and is turning to NCC to help him in his efforts," says Environment Minister Benoit Charette.
