Stadium 974 near Doha's port in Qatar features 40,000 blue seats. The Global Sustainability Assessment rated the engineering feat as achieving five out of six stars for sustainability. Made from repurposed shipping containers, 974 in varied colors, the stadium is demountable, enabling it to be dismantled and reassembled at any time. The shape of stadium and its nearness to the sea also facilitate ventilation, reducing the need for artificial cooling. Stadium 974 hosted its first match on November 30, 2021 and will be the arena for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in 2022.
