The football team for the California School for the Deaf is headed to the California State Championships, a first for their school. Every member of the team is hard of hearing or deaf and is proving that being deaf is not a weakness. They sign the plays to each other without the other team understanding. Their coach also uses sign language to communicate from the sidelines. This school has never had a winning season before; sometimes they have gone whole seasons without a win. But not this year. The team heads into the State Championships undefeated. “We’re not done. One more game. We’re looking for that ring. One more game,” the coach said to the team after their last win.
