At the New York City Marathon on November 7th, 33,000 runners—and one white duck named Wrinkle—ran the route from Staten Island to Central Park. It was an unprecedented occasion. Although she did not run the entire 26.2 miles (42.2 kilometers), Wrinkle waddled with speed in her duck shoes, garnering cheers and applause from bystanders. The video of Wrinkle's five-minute sprint went viral, receiving more than 4 million views. Shoe company, Adidas, wrote, "Sending this to our design team to petition for a new duck shoe collection."
