There are some tunes that pluck the strings of the heart. William Apostol, more known by his stage name Billy Strings, surprised each of the 200 children at his former elementary school with their own guitars. A Grammy-winning musician, Apostol visited Twin Rivers Elementary in Michigan while on tour. He wanted to give something back to the community where he grew up in. “My guitar has always been there for me—through good times, bad times and everything in between," said Apostol. "The guitar has taken me places that I could only dream of. My hope is that one of these guitars does the same thing for one of these kids."
