New superhero film, "Eternals," stars a galaxy of actors; and one who seems to have made a huge impact on viewers is Lauren Ridloff, the film’s first deaf superhero. Her role has provoked a 250% spike in searches for “learn sign language for beginners”. The role “means my two boys, who are also deaf, will grow up in a world where there are superheroes who are deaf. It means they’ll be able to dream a bit more wildly,” says Ridloff, who is obviously a real life superhero as well.
