I don't let myself get old, says 80 year-old Mike Palen, who still lifts 700-pound weights regularly, much to the inspiration of senior gym-goers and the consternation of his wife. Though his Olympic ambitions cooled after marriage and children, he continues to lift the heavy stuff two or three times a week. Even a host of injuries and doctors' warnings have failed to stop him and he claims he still has strength and can still ski.
