Kuljinder Kinda and his four friends were hiking in Golden Ears Provincial Park when they heard two men had slipped into the pool above the lower waterfalls. There was no cell service available. In an act of ingenuity, the five friends tied their turbans together along with other articles of clothing to create a 10-meter rope. "In Sikhi, we are taught to help someone in any way we can with anything we have, even our turban," Kinda said.
