Taste Community Restaurant in Fort Worth, Texas, opened in 2017 with a mission to feed people and tend their dignity, without regard to whether they could pay. The restaurant has no prices on the menu and customers pay what they can, which sometimes is nothing. The founder and executive director, Jeff Williams, said "It was God's idea, and I'm just doing my best to step where He's asked me to step and steward it as best I can." One customer said, "Everyone's included here and there's something wonderful about that." Another said, "If there's restaurants in Heaven, this is how they operate." Taste reached a moving milestone recently, 100,000 meals served.
