Park Rangers at Glacier National Park found a small sopping wet teddy bear as they were conducting the post-season clean-up in 2020. Ranger Tom Mazzarisi saved the little bear from being thrown away. Mazzarisi adopted the bear and kept it in his patrol car. Nearly a year later, friends of the rightful owner happened to see the bear sitting in a patrol car and contacted Park Rangers to explain the situation. The bear, it turns out, had been lost a year before by Naomi, a little girl from Ethiopia. Naomi had received the bear as a gift from her new parents while she was in an orphanage in Ethiopia. Post-adoption, Teddy the teddy bear and Naomi traveled around the world together. Naomi was overjoyed to receive her beloved companion back after the year-long separation.
