Brittany Starks knows what it's like to struggle; despite being a single mother who lives paycheck to paycheck and having been homeless twice, she hasn't allowed any of that to break her spirit. Those hardships, instead, have inspired her to spread kindness. She offered to braid children's hair for families who couldn't afford it. She expected to get a few takers, but has been overwhelmed by the need for what she's offering. Starks has worked to fill the requests in between her three jobs. Since her offer was announced, Starks has braided hair for 35 children and has recruited volunteers to help her. As a single parent who has gone through so much of the same struggles they did, I know what these parents are feeling. And if I can help in any way, even if it's just putting a smile on their faces and easing this burden, I'm going to do it, said Starks.
