A spunky four-year-old dog named Baekgu is being credited with saving his owner's life after she went missing on August 25. The 90-year-old woman, who suffers from dementia, wandered out of her village during a rainstorm and collapsed in a rice field a few miles away. Baekgu stayed my her side the whole time, keeping her warm as temperatures dropped. Rescuers eventually found her and she is now recovering in the hospital. As a result of his loyalty, the dog has been appointed South Korea's First Honorary Rescue Dog. "At a difficult time due to Covid-19, Baekgu created an unbelievable miracle and moved everyone," Gov. Yang Seung-jo told CNN.
