Bus riders in Kansas City can now do more than just catch a bus at the new East Village Transit Center, thanks to a partnership between RideKC, Metropolitan Community College and the Full Employment Council. Bus riders will soon have access to its lobby with free Wi-Fi, charging outlets and water, as well as library information and job searching popups. RideKC realized many of its riders relied on the bus for access to the library and downtown services, and when the new one opened away from those resources, it recognized a need to help people stay connected. It hopes to add more partners, including some in health care services.
