John Lee, the father of Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee, received a new custom wheelchair from decorated gymnast and his daughter's teammate, Simone Biles. Lee had fallen off of a ladder in 2019 and ended up with a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the chest down. He had been using a manual wheelchair and often needed assistance from Suni's brother Lucky. The new wheelchair, which will be custom fitted, will give him more independence.
