Jrmie, a lovely seaside town of 97,000 in Haiti, was hit hard by the August 14 earthquake. Ready to eat meals are a necessity when people are homeless, and local ptisserie Jrmie Breadfruit Flour and Bakery is feeding people with konparts made with breadfruit flour from trees donated by the Trees That Feed Foundation. A single breadfruit tree can feed an entire family and can live up to 100 years. Trees That Feed is part of a project that has planted 1.5 million trees across 22 territories in the Caribbean since February 2020.
