After more than four decades, blue whales are making their way back to Spain. Because of whaling, blue whales and many other species have been almost driven into extinction. However, in the past four years, there have been four blue whale sightings along the coast of northwest Spain. While this can signal a return of the species, marine biologist Alfredo Lpez says that climate change will likely have a large impact on the environments that blue whales live in, pushing them north to avoid warmer waters.
