A cat in Cornwall, England, saved his 83-year-old owner after she fell down a steep embankment into a ravine. Officers were searching for the woman. Dhe was located by a neighbor who saw her black cat, named Piran, meowing in the corner of a large maize field near her home. Emergency officials pulled her out of the ravine and took her to a hospital via air ambulance. She was in 'good spirits', authorities said. "Without the cat waiting at the gate to that field, it could have been hours later that I or anyone else would have checked in there," her neighbor said.
