PG&E plans to bury 10,000 miles of power lines underground, significantly reducing the possibility of vegetation striking power lines and starting fires. Additionally, this will lower the need for vegetation management efforts. California is subject to large wildfires during this time of year so, hopefully, this project will prevent such disasters from happening.
