70% of the government staff of Cherokee Nation have been vaccinated, thanks to the prompt and efficient services by their Health Services. This is nearly twice the rate of the vaccinations in other counties of Oklahoma, spurred by cash incentives and paid leave for more than 4200 government employees. As many communities in the country are racing to achieve 'herd immunity', Cherokee Nation is well on its way to success, with its reliance on science, facts and compassion.
