Lydia Jacoby, a US swimmer from Seward, Alaska, took a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics during her recent competition. Friends and neighbors in Seward, which is not known as a hotbed for swimming, gathered to watch her compete. Video of the watch party shows the crowd go wild with excitement as Jacoby finished the race and won the gold medal. Jacoby is a high school senior and was the first Alaskan swimmer named to the US Olympic Team.
