Unilever, one of the world's largest food and consumer product companies, will begin labeling the carbon footprint of many of its products by the end of 2021. Hellmann's Mayonnaise, Marmite, and Magnum ice cream are just a few of the foods that will be labeled to help consumers make greener choices especially as concerns about climate change escalate. "Creating simple and consistent methods of labeling would ensure that all shops and manufacturers give us the same kind of information about our food. Having to record information about the environmental impact of food production could also influence the way that manufacturers make their products," a spokesperson for The National food Strategy told The Independent.
