This moving video features a team called Force Blue, which is comprised of special operations veterans, partnering with ocean scientists to restore a coral reef. The project is called '100 yards of hope', which refers to the size of the new reef. The cooperative effort allows veterans to apply their special skills to a challenge outside their normal realm and gives them the opportunity to be a champion for ocean restoration. The experience was meaningful and moving for both the veterans and the scientists. One Force Blue employee said Our veterans are helping other human beings. It's not just about helping our veterans transition, it's about finding some commonality and some connection points in a world that is very disconnected right now and that's what I think 100 yards of hope really reflects. Yes, we restored 100 yards of coral and that's a big deal but what's most important is that we've set a template for cooperation.
