Abdul Awal, 58, was driving his car in southeast London when a nearby stranger noticed flames under the hood and quickly called the fire brigade. Mr. Awal, who has difficulty hearing, was unaware of the problem and continued to drive, so the stranger sprinted alongside the vehicle tapping on the window to alert him. Arwal stopped the car and was pulled to safety by the unidentified man before it was engulfed in flames. "It's an absolute miracle he was untouched," Arwal's daughter, Iffath Norwin, told the BBC. "He's literally a lifesaver -- a random guy who came out for a random person and saved him. I am so grateful," she said.
