It's an unusual scene. ICU nurse Shelby Delaney in Oakland, Calif., with a crew of nurses around her, gets a call from her hero Stephen Curry. Delaney posted on social media a photo of herself wearing her Warriors' t-shirt under hospital gear because, she said, "as I was getting ready for work, I found myself feeling powerless and defeated. It was in that moment that I knew I needed to summon my inner warrior." Shelby, who works at Summit Medical Center, has become more than a nurse; she is a loving comforter for the sickest patients. Curry, who has been sheltering at home since the NBA canceled all games, called to say thank you to her. They exchanged heartfelt respect and appreciation for each other over a video call.
