When his Shar-Pei Darla was taken from Brayden Morton's yard, he didn't expect to be helping to rescue two people from their own life challenges. Offering a reward brought a call from the young woman who took the dog to sell for drugs. He met her, with the reward money, but said, “You and I both know [that], if I give you this money, you’re dead within a day." She just put her head down and said, ‘Yeah.” Morton, who helps people find the right treatment program, knows the power of choosing to accept help. After years of addiction, he has been clean and sober since 2015, thanks to rehab and the kindness of others.
