Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind the television program "Sesame Street," has produced resources to help families have honest conversations about race. A video called Proud of Your Eyes, in which characters Wes and Alan help their Filipino-American friend Analyn celebrate her heritage after she was teased about her eyes, is part of "The ABCs of Racial Literacy." As well as online resources, Sesame Street has developed storylines about diversity and discrimination with help from Alan Muraoka, the Japanese-American actor who plays Alan, owner of Hooper's Store.
