Jeff Reaves spent hours handwriting 459 notes for students to present at their graduation ceremony. This labor of love and care meant poring through yearbooks, student files and transcripts, and capturing the insights gained from conversations and relationships built up over four years. The pandemic year has seen many students struggling through virtual classes, the sickness of loved ones and many unknowns. Reaves wished to acknowledge these issues and encourage them to be positive. "I like to think I'm one of many that found ways to communicate and validate our students that are stepping out into the world," he said with humility.
