A new French rail startup is hoping its "hotel on rails" will attract people who are looking for a cleaner, greener alternative to flying within Europe. Midnight Trains aims to offer an overnight alternative to the basic, state-run SNCF sleepers and short-haul flights, with hotel-style rooms and an onboard restaurant and bar. It plans to connect Paris with 12 other European cities as of 2024. French entrepreneurs fund the company.
