Fiat has pledged to move entirely to electric vehicles by 2030, while gradually phasing out combustion engines from 2025. "It is our duty to bring to market electric cars that cost no more than those with an internal combustion engine, as soon as we can, in line with the falling costs of batteries," says Fiat CEO Olivier François. Fiat will also focus on charging infrastructure and air quality. Other auto companies like Honda, Volvo and Ford in Europe are waking up to the fact that the world cannot ‘take any more compromises’ on their part, and are planning to go all electric within the next decade.
