Toronto mayor John Tory announced that nine new food bank locations will be opened across the city. Toronto libraries have partnered with food bank organizations such as Daily Bread and Second Harvest to provide scheduled times for those in need to pick up food. Toronto also announced a partnership with public housing facilities, hoping to provide food to as many people in need as possible due to increased demand.
