Health experts in India are testing drones to deliver Covid-19 vaccines to isolated communities amid a deadly surge in coronavirus cases. The southern state of Telangana will run a trial and then start deliveries, and Karnataka, another southern state, is also looking at the idea. The Civil Aviation Ministry, which regulates drones, says the goal is "faster vaccine delivery and improved healthcare access by ensuring primary healthcare delivery at the citizen's doorstep." Vaccines are being delivered by drone in Ghana as well, and deliveries are planned in Rwanda, the US and Nigeria.
