Four medical students FROM different parts of Canada marked a major milestone with a special Indigenous graduation ceremony in London, Ontario, to wrap up their shared journey. The four indivisible students graduated from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry program at Canada's Western University. The four came together in September 2017, thanks to an upper-year medical student who met them each separately and formed a group chat among them. Group `member`s looked out for each other by trying to find healthy ways of coping with the grueling parts of the journey and supporting each other through the shared hardship of leaving all of their usual supports behind to embark on the medical school journey. The ceremony is really special, said Justine Fletcher. It supports the two-eyed seeing approach, honoring our Indigenous background but also acknowledging we are incorporating Western medicine as we go off on our next adventure.
