When the pandemic hit, college professor Lucia Fuentes assigned her honors biology students to compile scientific information about Covid-19 to make the information more accessible. The online multilingual brochure they produced is now a valuable resource for immigrants and their families overseas. Not even her husband's death due to Covid-19 or her own illness stopped the project. Her students gave her strength, Fuentes says. The brochures were printed and distributed in her native Guatemala and in Colombia, and students have helped translate them into Albanian, Korean and Portuguese.
