Mariam Yehia, her mom and a friend bought Ramadan meals for the needy in Cairo for several years. This year, they bought the meals from Mahmoud Kamal, a chef who was in financial need, thus doing two good things at once. They got the idea from a post by Jana El Daour, who had heard about Kamal but hadn't met him. In a widely shared post, Mariam then urged others to order from Kamal or other cooks who might need business. A grateful Kamal said orders streamed in, and now he wants to meet Jana to thank her.
