21-year-old Sydney University Student, Pablo Bonita, who was given coding exercises for homework, has helped solve a decades old quantum computing problem by applying simple modifications. His code has piqued the interest of researchers at Yale and Duke, Universities in the U.S. and multinational tech giant, Amazon . "It's very exciting because quantum computing is in its infancy but there are so many talented people around the world working on this." Mr. Bonita told ABC Western Sydney.
