I would rather find something meaningful to do, says Zhang Yuhzen, a 96-year-old who works every day from 11 pm to 5 am. She has been selling vegetable pies for 30 years. I don't want to eat and sleep and play mahjong all day long. It's not good for your health, and it sets a bad example for the younger generation, she said. Zhang occasionally gets support from a kind neighbor who helps her out after he finishes his job. After a photographer shared a video of her on social media, Zhang became famous and was flooded with new customers. I don't know why I'm famous now. I'm just an old lady who sells pies, she said.
