Over the next couple of weeks, Pfizer plans to start authorization of the Covid vaccine for 12-to-15-year-olds. From the data gained in the Pfizer vaccine trial, the vaccine is 100 percent effective for the age range. More than 1,000 teenagers were given the shot and none had contracted Covid. So far, the symptoms for the teens after getting the vaccine were similar to that of adults, but "there may be subtle differences there that we really have to keep an eye on for children," Dr. Buddy Creech said. Hopefully, if everything goes to plan, school will be in full swing by the time August rolls around.
