It was roughly 58 degrees Fahrenheit when Bonnie Potoroka found the newborn calf in her barn in Goodeve, Saskatchewan, Canada. The cold temperatures have been hard on animals all week and may have been the catalyst for an emerging friendship between the newborn calf and a collie. Potoroka, not knowing that the heifer had given birth yet, found the two cuddled up together in the bitter cold. Potoroka said about her collie Mickey, He's always curious about the cows and calves, but this one is the same size as him, so he likes it. She brought the newborn calf into a heated shop and Mickey joins her there. Baby is still only three days old, so she sleeps a lot. So she'll lay down on the rug and he'll come next to her and lay down beside here.
