A group of volunteers from the nonprofit group Texas Relief Warriors used a donation of 6,000 eggs to cook 700 breakfast tacos and distributed them to hungry seniors at two senior centers in the Houston area. We had volunteers going door to door, going up the stairs in the dark delivering tacos. [The seniors] were excited and hungry for hot food. They were so grateful, said Cara Adams founder of the nonprofit. A volunteer donated the eggs and a local restaurant, Iguanas Ranas Cantina, offered their kitchen for the food preparation.
