A Texas nurse said she is unbelievably blessed after she crawled out of a massive car pileup in Fort Worth and managed to report for work. The accident happened on Interstate 35 West north of downtown Ft. Worth, Texas, in a crash that involved at least 100 vehicles. Nurse Rebecca Benson said the pavement was dry when she left her home, but she realized she was on black ice, once she turned a corner and went onto a bridge. She tried to stop to no avail and pointed her car toward two semi-trailers. After her crash, she could feel, and see in her rearview mirror, other cars joining the pileup. Someone came and opened the trunk of her car, and Benson crawled out. After checking with the police, she found a colleague and made her way to work.
